We took off on the spur of the moment this weekend, and stayed at an incredibly romantic cabin, out deep in the rainforest above the Gold Coast at Springbrook.
It was a real escape. There was no mobile signal up there, no phone in the room, or room service. We just lived off the food and wine we took with us, lit the log fire, and stayed put and had a very romantic evening isolated deep in the rainforest.
It is incredible how dense the rainforest is, how tall it is, and how alive it is. Especially at night. Winter is definitely the best time to go, and if you`re lucky, be there when it pours with rain.
